Job Responsibilities:

A Bingo Floor Agent explains games to customers, sells bingo paper maximizing player activity, verifies bingos and ensures customers have an exceptional bingo experience.

Expectations:

  • Act as a role model within and outside the casino.
  • Maintain a positive and respectful attitude toward customers and co-workers.
  • Consistently report to work on time prepared to perform duties of position.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities: 

  • Balance all papers and money collected in a timely manner with the paymaster.
  • Explain various bingo games to customers, as well as keep track of up to twelve different papers in an apron and the amount each one sells for.
  • Verify bingos within the allotted time frame.
  • Maintain sales in an organized manner, ensuring efficient and accurate service while promoting guests with instructions, play assistance or information.
  • Sell as many papers as possible to patrons.
  • Speak over microphones clearly and distinctly.
  • Promote and up-sell paper games to guests describing games, payouts, and costs.
  • Report equipment failure/problems supervisory staff.
  • Handle guest questions and playing needs efficiently, deferring disputes/conflicts to supervisory staff.
  • Make sure electronic equipment is recharged for the next day.
  • Promote and practice safe workplace practices, as outlined in safety and procedure training.
  • Strictly adhere to Bingo Department Policy and procedures and the Pueblo of Laguna Gaming Control Board/Tribal Gaming Regulatory Authority rules and regulations.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
  • Build relationships and loyalty with guests through sincere and meaningful interactions (e.g., learn guests’ names and preferences; connect with them individually and professionally; smile; make eye contact and verbally greet guests from arrival to the property through departure; and provide fast and friendly service to guests) and exercise initiative, tact and courtesy when handling problems.
  • Be a team player (e.g., work toward team goals and foster a collaborative and positive work environment; put the team first; assist coworkers; treat all coworkers with kindness, courtesy and respect; never engage in negativity; maintain openness to coaching, learning and improving; receptive to change and willingness to embrace challenges with team-spirit).
  • Develop a thorough knowledge of services, room locations, amenities, surroundings, providing accurate directions, and information for guest inquiries about promotions and special events.
  • At all times maintain a courteous, positive and professional working relationship with all LDC personnel and the general public (e.g., coworkers, clients and vendors).
  • Work under pressure; maintain regular and punctual attendance including working odd and unusual hours, weekends and holidays.
  • Participate in cross training of all bingo positions provided by bingo designee as required.
  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as necessary or assigned.

Education & Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Must have relevant work experience handling cash.
  • Must be a minimum of 21 years of age.

Licensing & Certification:

  • None.

Essential Physical Requirements:

  • Requires the ability to bend over, hear, reach overhead, stand, talk, turn/twist, walk and repetitively use hands 51-100% of the time.
  • Requires the ability to balance/climb and hear 24-50% of the time.
  • Requires the ability to carry and lift 1-25 lbs. 51-100% of the time.
  • Requires the ability to push/pull 1-25 lbs. 25-50% of the time.
  • Requires the ability to push/pull, carry lift and slide/transfer 25-50 lbs. 1-24% of the time.

Essential Mental Demands:

  • Requires the ability to solve problems, organize, make decisions, interpret data, read and write 51-100% of the time.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • None.

Work Environment (inside/outside):

  • The job is performed indoors with exposure to loud noises and smoke.

Other Requirements:

  • Obtain and maintain a gaming license through the Pueblo of Laguna’s Gaming Control Board.
  • Must comply with LDC and the Federal Government Bank Secrecy Act by acquiring and/or maintaining a Title 31 Certification.
  • Must pass  pre-employment alcohol/drug screening and cashiers test.
