DE Players Club Representative

Job Responsibilities:

Position Summary/General Description: 


A Players Club Representative enrolls guests into the club, explaining all benefits, redeeming points for cash-back/promotional play and provides support for special events.  




  • Adhere to Laguna Development Corporation (LDC) Core Values, Policies & Procedures. 
  • Act as a role model within and outside the casino. 
  • Maintain a positive and respectful attitude toward customers and co-workers. 
  • Consistently reports to work on time prepared to perform duties of position. 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:   


  • Introduce and promote the Player’s Club. Explain the benefits of Player’s Club (e.g. describe cash back/reward bucks, bonus points, redemption, award “levels”),  assist players with membership application, set up player’s account in OASIS, take player photos with digital camera, or scanning driver’s license to get player’s picture, print/reprint player cards and explain the use of multiple cards, and the operations of the card in the slot machines.  
  • Walk the casino floor enrolling “hot players” into the club. 
  • Exercise initiative, professionalism and courtesy when handling routine problems with guests and LDC employees.  
  • Generate excitement and provide personal attention to customers. 
  • Stock cabinets with promotional items and keeps work areas clean on a daily basis. 
  • Distribute promotional items (e.g. coupons, gifts, or player cards). 
  • Inform players of promotion booth location(s), promotions soon to start, in progress, or soon to end. 
  • Pay attention to detail.
  • Write and prepare standard reports and documents.
  • Maintain knowledge of all slot marketing activities and events on the property.
  • Maintain knowledge of all games offered by the casino.
  • Maintain knowledge of all advertising and casino marketing.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of all sensitive information (e.g., guest/player information, financial data, casino player data, policies and procedures and marketing plans).
  • At all times maintain a courteous, positive and professional working relationship with all LDC personnel and the general public (e.g., coworkers, clients, and vendors).
  • Build relationships and loyalty with guests both in person and on the phone through sincere and meaningful interactions (e.g., learn guests’ names and preferences; connect with them individually and professionally; smile; make eye contact and verbally greet guests).
  • Work under pressure; maintain regular and punctual attendance including working odd or unusual hours, weekends, and holidays.
  • Be a team player (e.g., works toward team goals and fosters a collaborative and positive work environment; put the team first; assist coworkers; treat all coworkers with kindness, courtesy and respect; never engage in negativity; maintain openness to coaching, learning and improving; receptive to change and willingness to embrace challenges with team-spirit).
  • Develop a thorough knowledge of services, amenities, and surroundings, providing accurate directions and information for guest inquiries about promotions and special events.
  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as necessary or assigned.

Education & Experience: 


  • High School Diploma or GED required. 
  • Must have two years of relevant work experience.

Licensing & Certification: 

  •  None.

Computer Equipment, Software, Machinery: 


  • Proficient in basic computer skills (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). 
  • Proficient with basic office equipment (e.g., computer, photocopying and faxing).
  • Experience with Kronos (Timekeeper Software), and Paramount (Purchasing Software).
  • OASIS.

Essential Physical Requirements: 


  • The job requires the ability to bend over, crouch/stoop, hear, reach overhead, sit, stand, talk, turn/twist, walk, see and repetitive use of hands 51-100 % of the time.  
  • The job requires the ability to push/pull 25-50 lbs. 25-50% of the time and 50+lbs. 51-100% of the time. 
  • The job requires the ability to carry 1-25 lbs. 51-100% of the time and 25-50+ lbs. 25-50% of the time.  
  • The job requires the ability to lift  and slide/transfer 1-25 lbs. 51-100% of the time and 25-50 lbs. 25-50

Essential Mental Demands: 


  • The job requires interpreting data, reading and writing 51-100% of the time.   
  • The job requires problem solving, organizing, planning and making decisions 25-50% of the time.

Supervisory Responsibilities: 

  • None.

Work Environment (inside/outside): 


  • The job is performed indoors in a confined area with exposure to smoke (e.g., cigarettes). 

Other Requirements: 

  • Obtain and maintain a gaming license through the Pueblo of Laguna’s Gaming Control Board.
  • Must comply with LDC and the Federal Government Bank Secrecy Act by acquiring and/or maintaining a Title 31 Certification.
  • Must pass a pre-employment alcohol/drug screening.
